Our Backstory
At Akinox, we know what you're up against. For more than a decade, we have developed and deployed a wide range of platforms, products, and services, bringing patients and providers together for better outcomes with innovative technology, automated processes, streamlined workflows, and stronger communications.
Far North Project
We are pioneers in virtual care; we were doing it before it was a thing. Before launching Akinox, our founders deployed a virtual care solution to help completely isolated populations in Northern Canada—who had no roads or phone networks, let alone access to physical care—gain access to providers. As a result, more than 60% of the Québec territory gained access to virtual care.
Akinox Is Born
Being able to provide virtual care in an extreme environment made clear to our team they were capable of providing it anywhere. From there, Akinox was born, and since then our comprehensive, cutting-edge solutions have more than stood the test of time.
eConsult and Agir tôt Projects
In 2017, we helped the Québec College of Family Physicians avoid 40% of specialist referrals through our eConsult project. Shortly after, we partnered with the Québec government for the Agir tôt Project, which focused on creating a platform for the diagnosis of early childhood disabilities and developmental disorders.
COVID-19 Support
In March 2020, we partnered with the Québec government and Ministry of Health and Social Services and Public Health to create a referral platform for screening cases of COVID-19, as well as our mobile apps for vaccine passports, VaxiCode and VaxiCode Verif.

Since then, we’ve continued to design and deliver a number of innovative healthcare solutions—and we’ll continue to do so in the months and years ahead.
