On May 13, 2022, the First-Line in Health Healthcare Convention was held at the Montreal Convention Center. Akinox was fortunate enough to participate for the first time and give a workshop to introduce the new provincial virtual care platform to the general public. Also, we were honoured to have the Minister of Health and Social Services, Christian Dubé, at our booth and he congratulated Akinox on its recent work. This event, organized by Plakett Clinical Services, is dedicated to the development, organization and management of the primary health care sector and highlights innovations that contribute to improving access, service delivery and expertise in Québec. Health care managers, general practitioners, nurses, frontline health care providers and many other professionals attended the event to learn about new trends and technological innovations that will help frontline health care workers in Québec.
Our workshop entitled "The Provincial Virtual Care Platform: An Opportunity to Build Together the Future of Digital Health" was sold out and well attended. In collaboration with Antoinette Ghanem, representative of the “Centre d'Opérationnalisation-Plateforme de Soins Virtuels” (Operation Center-Virtual Care Platform), Mathieu Tougas, product manager, and Alexander Dahl, our president and founder, presented the new provincial virtual care platform developed by Akinox and took advantage of the workshop to discuss the future of digital health with participants. Indeed, the workshop was in two parts: first, the presentation of the provincial platform, its scope and anticipated impacts, and then to discuss the various opportunities facilitating its deployment, adoption and use on the front line. The main objective of this workshop was to discuss together to build a visionary, innovative and accessible digital platform that will meet the needs of both patients and all health care professionals.
