Québec City, May 4, 2021 – As one of the 2021 Hackathon, a virtual development marathon for mental health, Akinox is invited to present the 1st prize to the team that has distinguished itself by its talent, innovation and originality. The event, which will take place from May 14 to 16, 2021, is organized by SociéTIC for the benefit of the Canadian Mental Health Association’s Québec City branch.
Technology for Mental Health
For this virtual Hackathon, volunteer teams of 4 to 6 members composed of developers, analysts, project managers, designers and marketing specialists will work together for 72 hours to contribute to the development of original and innovative applications to meet the needs of the Canadian Mental Health Association’s Québec City branch dedicated to promoting mental health, preventing mental illness and providing support to the public. During this creative and collaborative process, they will analyze the association’s needs and propose innovative IT solutions to meet the association’s technological challenges.
The following criteria will be considered by the jury in the evaluation of the
proposed projects:
- Empathic approach
- Functional application
- Open-source software
- User Experience
- Technological innovation and originality
- Solution Presentation
The winner will receive the 1st prize presented by Akinox as well as $5,000. A 2nd prize of $3,000 and a 3rd prize of $1,500 will also be awarded.
